Bridport Hat Festival has crept up on me, I have quite a few hats but, they are like shoes, you can never have too many! So this month I have been spending every spare moment making more stock and trying out some new ideas and developing some old favourites with a new twist…

Do you think I should leave this one white / cream or dye it? It feels quite anaemic sat next to all the others but maybe it is good to offer some neutral options for sale?

The white/cream is beautiful – not everyone wants a colourful hat so it would be good to have this in your collection. It would make a good wedding hat!

Great hats Teri! I am interested to know if the hat sells in cream. I haven’t had much luck over the years at the store selling wearables in that color either white or cream. But perhaps you will find the perfect person for it 🙂 If not, I would suggest greys to black. Still neutral but everyone wears black.
Thanks Ruth, great idea to dye it grey/black! I took an eco-printing workshop with Kim Winter from Flextiles yesterday so of course now I am looking at the white hat (and a few other pieces) thinking, can I eco-print on that…? Thinking I will give the eco-printing a whirl and if that does not work, fish out the black acid-fast dye! 🙂
