Several people have requested an update following this post that I wrote following a felt-making session I led for the Farnborough Embroiderer’s Guild. We met the following month with the intention of adding some stitching to the pieces we had made and these are the results. They are all work in progress so please don’t judge them too harshly (not that you would, I know 🙂 ).
What do you think? Do you have a favourite?
They are all lovely in their own way and I’m sure you’ll find more ways to embellish them. But at first glance I love the roses. I look forward to seeing the finished pieces.
Ah, yes, the ribbon roses were Anne’s quite spectacular aren’t they?
All are so very different and lovely in their own right, so it’s very hard to choose, but after much scrolling up and down, the lighthouse in the rough sea and the Exmoor landscape stand out because they are full of ‘life’.
Good choices (not that I am at all biased about the Exmoor landscape 😉 )
Great work from (mostly) beginners in such a short time! They are all looking good but my favourites are by Sue, Teri and the abstract in the embroidery hoop.
Thank you Karen, I am impressed you can put names to the pieces, I am struggling to remember some of them myself! 🙂
These are all nice. And all so different which I love to see.
Thank you Ruth, it is interesting how everyone made such different pieces, it would be fascinating to see if there is a correlation between personality type and choice of design….
