In this class we will use wet-felting techniques to make a name badge for you (or a friend). I will show you how to lay out wool fibres, blend wool colours and how to securely attach your magnet or brooch pin.

Class fee includes your choice of wool colours and a range of coloured prefelts to choose from, as well as use of basic felting equipment.

This class is for adults, and is suitable for beginner and intermediate felt-makers.

Price: approx $30 per person plus room hire (if needed) – please contact me with your group size for a more accurate price

Please bring: 

• one small towel (tea towel or hand towel size), and a larger towel approx 1 metre long
• a plastic bag or bin liner to take your damp towels home in
• pencil and paper to sketch out your letters (or a print out in a font you like)
• scissors for cutting paper
• small sharp scissors suitable for cutting fabric
• needle and threads for hand-embroidery
• your lunch / drink and snacks
• a waterproof apron if you have one (optional)
• embroidery floss and small beads to decorate (optional)

You will have the choice of adding a lockable brooch pin or magnetic clasp to the back of your badge.

I will have a small selection of tools and materials available to purchase for class participants, let me know at least 24 hours before the class if there is something you would like in my Etsy shop to receive a minimum 10% discount.
